Three of our colleages had the opportunity to attend the 2-day event in Brussels. Our colleague Christiane Mertens shares her experiences with us. Today, I would like to briefly introduce myself: My name is Christiane Mertens, and I am a pharmacist. I have been fortunate to work for action medeor labworks as a quality management officer for over a year now. It is a great pleasure for me to make a contribution here on site that brings us a step closer to our goal: Health for all people – worldwide. At the end of June, I had the opportunity to attend the 2-day General Assembly of QUAMED in Brussels. It was an enriching experience that showed we are not alone in our goal. In addition to valuable information, diverse discussions and new contacts, it was particularly exciting to witness the launch of the QUAMED Learning Platform. action medeor e.V. provided image and video material for the development of this platform. A conference like this is important so that everyone involved in the pharmaceutical supply chain can develop a common understanding of quality guidelines. My conclusion: We can only make quality medicines accessible to all people if all parties involved in the pharmaceutical supply chain work according to uniform rules (WHO standards). The road is long and difficult.
